In short: Moed computes times with great care, but it does not replace your community’s custom or your rabbi’s ruling. The subscription renews on its own and can be cancelled at any time from your account settings.

Purpose

Moed is a Hebrew calendar application published by NOMADSLIM LLC, incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States. Installing or using the application constitutes acceptance of these terms.

The times displayed

Moed computes the times of the Jewish day from the position of the sun for the place you enter, using recognised and configurable calculation methods.

These times are a calculation tool. They are not a ruling of Jewish law, not a rabbinic opinion, and not an instruction. Customs vary from one community to another and from one place to another: in case of doubt, and in particular for candle lighting, the end of Shabbat and the fasts, follow your community’s custom and your rabbi’s ruling.

We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the times displayed and accept no liability for decisions taken on their basis alone. At latitudes where the sun does not rise or does not set, certain times are deliberately left blank rather than approximated.

Subscription

The times and the dates are available free of charge. The subscription gives access to the reminders, to multiple cities, to the family circle and to the features that will be added to it.

Payment is taken by the store at the moment of confirmation.
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least twenty-four hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation is done from your Apple or Google account settings, at any time. It takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
The prices shown are those of your local store and may change; any change would be announced to you before it takes effect.

Right of withdrawal

Because access to the service is immediate, you consent to its performance before the end of the statutory fourteen-day withdrawal period and waive that period. Refund requests are handled by Apple or by Google, the sole sellers of the subscription.

Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the application. You undertake not to decompile it, modify it, extract its data for redistribution, or use it unlawfully.

The dates, names and information you enter belong to you. They remain on your device for as long as you do not use a sharing feature.

App stores

These terms bind you to NOMADSLIM LLC and not to Apple or to Google.

Apple is not a party to this agreement and bears no responsibility whatsoever for the application or its content.
Support and maintenance of the application are the exclusive responsibility of NOMADSLIM LLC; Apple has no obligation in that respect.
In the event of a failure to conform, Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that refund, Apple has no warranty obligation.
NOMADSLIM LLC is solely responsible for claims relating to the application, including in matters of product liability, regulatory compliance and consumer protection.
NOMADSLIM LLC is solely responsible for the investigation and settlement of third-party claims alleging that the application infringes their intellectual property rights.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo and that you are not listed on any prohibited party list, in accordance with applicable export regulations.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Availability and changes

We may develop the application and its features. Any substantial change to these terms will be published on this page and signalled in the application.

Liability

The application is provided as is. We cannot be held liable for indirect damage arising from its use. Nothing here is intended to set aside the statutory guarantees you enjoy as a consumer.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States.

This provision deprives you of no protection. If you reside in the European Union, you keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country. If you reside in France, the protective rules of the consumer code remain fully available to you.

If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@senseislim.com: we look for an amicable solution before any other route. Consumers residing in the Union may also turn to a consumer mediator.
