Privacy Policy

In short: Moed works without an account, and that is its normal mode. In that case your answers, your city and your dates stay on your phone, and we have no way of reading them. You entrust data to us only if you open a family circle or join one. We never measure your use of the application.
Two uses, two situations
Read the section that applies to you. They do not describe the same thing.
- You use Moed on your own. We hold nothing about you. No row exists in your name in our systems, so there is nothing to consult, correct or erase on our side.
- You have a family circle. We hold your email address, your first name and the contents of the shared calendar, described below.
Without an account: what stays on your phone
Everything you enter is saved locally, in the application’s private storage, and is sent nowhere:
- your first name and the answers given during setup;
- your city, its coordinates and its time zone;
- the dates you follow: Hebrew birthdays, yahrzeits, occasions;
- the family members you have entered;
- your calculation and reminder preferences.
This information disappears with the application: uninstalling it erases them permanently. We keep no copy, and we would not be able to restore them.
With a circle: what we hold
Opening a circle, or joining one, creates an account. From that moment, and only from that moment, the following is recorded on our servers:
- your email address, which serves as your identifier and is where the six-digit sign-in code is sent. There is no password;
- your first name, so that your family knows who is who;
- the circle’s name, the list of its members and their roles;
- the first names of the members without accounts that you add: a child, a grandparent, a relative who has died. They are labels and nothing more: they grant access to nothing and allow no one to sign in;
- the dates in the shared calendar: their label, the original civil date, and the person in the circle they concern. These are, depending on the case, dates of birth and dates of death;
- the invitation links you issue, their expiry date, and a record of which link each member came in through;
- technical logs kept by our host, including your IP address, retained for a few days for security purposes.
Nothing else. Neither your times, nor your reminders, nor your appointments go up to our servers: they stay on your phone, even with an account.
Why this data is sensitive, and what follows from it
Using Moed reveals, by its very nature, a religious affiliation. The General Data Protection Regulation places that information among the special categories of its Article 9, whose processing is prohibited in principle.
We therefore rely on your explicit consent, within the meaning of Article 9(2)(a). That consent is the act of opening a circle or joining one: the application tells you, at that moment, what it entails. Until you make that gesture there is no processing on our side, and so nothing to consent to.
You may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your account, from Profile, section Legal. Deletion is immediate and unconditional. It is described in detail on its own page.
The management of your subscription rests instead on the performance of the contract between us, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(b).
Your relatives’ data
A family calendar contains, by construction, information about people other than you: your children’s first names, the date your father died. By entering them, you entrust them to us and to the other members of your circle.
Two consequences, and we would rather write them down:
- it is for you to inform the adults concerned, and to enter only what they would accept seeing in a family calendar;
- the sensitivity described above applies to them too. For a minor child, consent is given by the holder of parental responsibility, that is to say by you.
Every member of the circle can see and correct these dates: that is the point of a shared calendar. Only the person who opened the circle can add or remove members.
How long we keep it
- Your account: until you delete it. We do not delete inactive accounts, and we will not write to you to suggest it;
- A circle: for as long as it has at least one registered member. When the last one leaves, the circle and the dates it contains are deleted;
- An invitation link: it stops working after seven days, or as soon as it is revoked. A record of it stays attached to the circle, to show how each member came in;
- Technical logs: a few days, at our host.
We keep no backup copy of a deleted account.
Your location
Moed offers to use your location to determine your city. The coordinates are used to compute, on the device, the position of the sun and the times that follow from it.
If you have an account, the CITY chosen is recorded on our servers, with its coordinates and its time zone, so that your reminders go out at the right hour and so that it can be restored to you on another device. It is a city, never a precise position: we receive neither your instantaneous location nor any movement history.
A clarification we owe to accuracy: to turn coordinates into a city name, the application calls your phone’s geocoding service, Apple’s or Google’s depending on the device. Those coordinates are therefore processed by them, under their own privacy policy.
You may refuse location access: Moed then lets you choose your city from a built-in list, with no network access at all, and works identically.
Your appointments
If you allow it, Moed reads your device’s calendar in order to show your appointments beside the dates of the Hebrew calendar, and can add a holiday or a family date to it when you ask. These operations happen on the phone. No event is copied to a server, analysed, or kept beyond being displayed, and none is shared with your circle.
Your notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone. We send you no notification from a server, and we do not know which ones you receive.
Your subscription
Payments are handled by Apple or by Google. We never see your means of payment.
To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, Inc., which receives for that purpose an anonymous identifier specific to your installation and the purchase receipt issued by the store. That identifier is linked neither to your name, nor to your email address, nor to your dates.
Who we entrust this data to
We use only technical providers, each for a specific task, and none of them has the right to use this data on its own account:
- Supabase, Inc. hosts the circle’s database and the authentication service, in the Frankfurt, Germany region;
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site, which contains no personal data;
- RevenueCat, Inc. checks the state of the subscription, as described above;
- Apple and Google handle payments and, depending on the device, the geocoding of your location.
What we do not do
- no advertising, no advertising tracker, no IDFA identifier;
- no audience measurement, no analysis of your use;
- no sale, no sharing of data with third parties for commercial purposes;
- no profiling, no automated decision-making;
- no training of artificial intelligence models on your data.
Transfers outside the European Union
Your circle’s data is stored in the European Union, in the Frankfurt, Germany region, and does not leave it. It is not transferred to the United States, even though NOMADSLIM LLC is established there.
Two exceptions, limited and described above: the anonymous identifier and the purchase receipt sent to RevenueCat, Inc., and the coordinates sent to your phone’s geocoding service. Neither carries the contents of your circle.
Children
Moed is not intended for children and asks them for nothing. A child never has an account: they appear in a circle as a first name entered by their parent, which allows neither signing in, nor receiving anything, nor being contacted. We never write to a minor, and we send them no notifications.
Your rights
If you use Moed without an account, your rights are exercised from your device: you can consult, change or erase every piece of information in the application’s settings, and delete everything by uninstalling it. We have nothing to disclose to you, since we hold nothing.
If you have an account, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over the data described above. Erasure takes two taps in the application, with no need to write to us. For the others, or to obtain a copy of your data, write to support@senseislim.com from the account’s address: we answer within thirty days.
You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
Changes
Any change to this text will be published on this page, with its revision date. A change that would widen the collection will be signalled in the application before taking effect, and you will be able to refuse it by deleting your account.
